My greats are one girl, Lauryn, and three boys, Braylon, Christopher and Kezan (pronounced keyson). And they are all beautiful and wonderful.

FrancesFranceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00319348512218207498noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7645292957563020229.post-21178638974225360622010-06-12T14:34:00.000-07:002010-06-12T14:48:16.685-07:00My BooksWell, I do have a lot of updating to do. Since I last posted, I've had several books released. They are as follows:

Miss Aggie Cries Murder (The sequel to Miss Aggie's Gone Missing) Heartsong Presents Mysteries
A Girl Like That : Heartsong Presents (Historical Romance)
Once a Thief: Heartsong Presents (Sequel to A Girl Like That)
Sugar and Spice: Heartsong Presents (Book 3 in the series)

A 3-in-1 compilation with all 3 books will be released in October with the title Windy City Brides.

The cozy mystery book club, Heartsong Presents Mysteries has been discontinued.
I still miss it very much. Our cozy mystery editor, Susan Downs, is now working for Summerside Press and doing a wonderful job. Many of the cozy authors are continuing their writing with different companies or different Barbour lines. Those who haven't found a new home for their books are working hard at it and I'm sure we'll see their talent again soon.

Barbour has a new suspense/mystery line releasing entitled Hometown Mysteries. Book 3 in my Miss Aggie series, Rest in Peace, is tentatively scheduled to release under that series in Spring of 2011. More info on that when I have it.

Until next time, may God bless you.

FrancesFranceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00319348512218207498noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7645292957563020229.post-6595950372323305292010-06-12T14:32:00.000-07:002010-06-12T14:33:52.538-07:00FinallyI've been locked out of my blogspot account for over a year. lol. Finally got the password fixed. So here I go again. Nice to see you all.

FrancesFranceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00319348512218207498noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7645292957563020229.post-62902334465524161672008-06-30T08:46:00.000-07:002008-11-12T21:04:06.837-08:00Where Oh Where Have My Blogposts Gone?

Oh where oh where can they be? I really did post in May and June. Guess they're off in some mysterious place called inexperienced blogger land.
I got my author copies of miss Aggie's Gone Missing. Here's the cover. Isn't it beautiful?
Miss Aggie Cries Murder is now in the hands of my editors. Thank the Lord. I'm really eager to start on book 3, but my deadline got pushed back to February, so am now writing a historical romance. This one is fun too. It takes place in Chicago during the time of the Great Fire.
Switching from 1st person to 3rd person is strange, though. The other day I wrote what I thought was a wonderful paragraph and one of my critique partners said it sounded like author intrusion to her. I'm not sure. After all, you can't have a whole book with nothing but dialogue and inner thought, can you? sigh. But I remain teachable. Otherwise how can I improve my writing?
My Louisiana daughter and family were her a few weeks ago. We had a wonderful time. I got to my my first great grandchild. Little Lauryn is absolutely beautiful and sweet as can be.
I'll be going in for surgery on July 21st, so not sure when I'll blog next. Until then, have a wonderful, wonderful summer.Franceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00319348512218207498noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7645292957563020229.post-73939417516619936712008-04-10T21:00:00.000-07:002008-04-10T21:11:58.916-07:00April NewsI really need to remember to post more often. Still getting used to it. Well, let's see. I recently signed with Heartsong Presents for a historical romance. I'm excited to work in this line as well as Heartsong Presents Mysteries.

I'm writing book 3 in the Miss Aggie series. I don't know about anyone else, but I find sequels more difficult to write than the first book in a series. You have to keep track of everything that went before as well as what's coming next. It's fun though. Miss Aggie is quite a character. I'll miss her.

Till next time, be blessed and may God give you the desires of your heart.

I have entered a new phase of my life. My first great-grandchild was born in October and now there are two more on the way. One is due in October. The other just found out and hasn't been to the doctor yet, so I'm waiting to hear. It's very exciting.Franceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00319348512218207498noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7645292957563020229.post-42441074130781296892008-03-01T19:38:00.000-08:002008-03-01T19:39:18.999-08:00A New OutlookI almost panicked a few days ago, when an editor told me she needed to see full proposals for two other books. Now I was already committed to Susan for the book 3 proposal, plus the entire book two manuscript. I almost told the editor I couldn't do it. Then I asked myself 'do you want to be a writer or are you just playing around. I can do this.
Susan, if your reading this, I'm almost done with the cozy proposal and will send it by mid-week if nothing unforseen occurs. First priority. And you'll have Miss Aggie Cries Murder on or before the deadline. :)

FrancesFranceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00319348512218207498noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7645292957563020229.post-68654455412869284022008-01-24T12:45:00.000-08:002008-01-24T12:55:17.474-08:00Edits and Other StuffContent edits and even copy edits can be traumatic. Especially the first time. I'm so thankful someone told me 'Dont fall in love with your words. You may have to kill them.' (Or something like that.) Actually, the editors who did mine were very gentle and kind along with their suggestions, but I almost went into a panic at first. However, I must say, I'm a lot happier with my book now than I was before the edits.

Just a couple of last minute things for Susan, and Miss Aggie's Gone Missing will be all wrapped up and tied with I bow.

I'm glad, because I'm excited about starting book two which I plan to do next week. While the first book focused on Victoria Storm and her senior boarders trying to find their missing friend, Aggie Pennington-Brown,
The first sequel, Miss Aggie Cries Murder, is going to be much more exciting I think.

If anyone is reading this, bye till next time.

FrancesFranceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00319348512218207498noreply@blogger.com4
